Our development team consists of passionate gamers and tinkerers, driven to make the most fun, engaging and rewarding games and experiences for our players. We collaborate, evaluate, and iterate on everything that goes into the game, with a strong focus on “easy to play, hard to master”, for a great user experiences.
We often integrate state of the art technology in our systems to give our customers a unique experience.
The engineer we’re looking for to complete our team is a passionate tinkerer and maker. You should be experienced in PCB design, wiring, LED lighting, motor control, power distribution and in programming the firmware to get it all going.
You should be comfortable to explore new things and should be willing to go out of your comfort zone.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the electronics hardware, PCB, and cable-harness design for arcade and amusement gaming systems using Altium Designer from concept to production.
- Collaborate closely with the game development and mechanical teams to translate gameplay and system requirements into robust electrical architectures.
- Participate in brainstorming and rapid prototyping of new game ideas and cabinet layouts to assess feasibility, fun factor, and market fit.
- Design, develop, and test motion-control circuits using Trinamic TMC220X, DRV8825, A4988, and other stepper/servo motor drivers for precise actuation.
- Develop and debug embedded firmware (C / C++) for STM32 / NXP / Arduino / ESP32 / Atmel microcontrollers to automate testing, control LED lighting, motors, and sensors.
- Implement and verify communication protocols including CAN, I²C, SPI, USB, RS-232/485, Ethernet, IR, LAN, and Bluetooth for system connectivity and inter-module control.
- Perform power-electronics design (DC-DC / AC-DC converters), analog sensing, and signal-conditioning circuits for stable and accurate system performance.
- Manage prototype cabinet fabrication and integration, perform system-level testing, and coordinate issue resolution across electrical and mechanical domains.
- Conduct functional, EMC, and safety compliance testing with TÜV SÜD, Intertek, and SGS to meet CE / FCC / UL / CCC / ISO certification standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, schematics, BOMs, harness drawings, and specifications for production and certification traceability.
- Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Support DFMEA, DFM, DFT, and FMEA reviews; drive continuous improvement of PCB layout standards, harness architecture, and test-fixture design.
- Some travel may be required.
Required Skills and Experience :
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in embedded electronics design, hardware system architecture, and electro-mechanical integration.
- Knowledge in STM32 CubeIDE & VS Code
- Expertise in motion-control electronics, solenoid and LED control, and sensor feedback circuits using Trinamic / DRV / Allegro drivers.
- Skilled in Altium Designer, schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation for high-reliability systems.
- Solid understanding of I/O standards, communication protocols (USB, I²C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet, Bluetooth, RS485), and signal integrity principles.
- Knowledge of power and analog design, including DC-DC converters, LDOs, analog sensing, and TEC control.
- Experience with wire harness design, cabinet integration, and manufacturing documentation.
- Proven background in CE / FCC / UL / CCC / ISO certification and collaboration with TÜV SÜD, Intertek, SGS for regulatory testing.
- Familiar with UL safety standards, EMC compliance, and test instrumentation (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; capable of cross-functional collaboration with design, firmware, and production teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Qualifications/Education
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics or Mechatronics, or equivalent by experience, knowledge and skills.
