Job Description

Team Summary

The Global & Regional Tech Partnerships team is responsible for developing, launching and scaling new solutions with Bigtechs and Regional Platforms. Working closely with Visa’s Product and Solutions teams and other teams to identify and pursue opportunities to deliver value propositions that leverage Visa and Tech platforms’ combined scale and reach. The team will focus on both, card-based and non-card solutions.

The role is based in the Singapore Market Support Centre and will report to the VP, Head of Innovation, Growth products, and Tech Partnerships, Asia Pacific.

What a Senior Director, Strategic Tech Partnerships, AP does at Visa:

  • Identify opportunities to jointly build scaled solutions working with Regional Technology platform companies to unlock incremental revenue across card and non-card commerce spaces
  • Lead the development of the product roadmap to deliver solutions that meet consumer and seller needs, solve recognized problems and address market gaps
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Technology, Client Services, and Sales, across Visa to drive discovery, solution design, build, testing and launch of new products and solutions
  • Support Market teams to deliver on revenue targets by ensuring timely delivery of offerings working closely with Regional Technology platform companies
  • As a secondary focus, drive Fintech Business Development to deliver incremental AANR through regional players
  • Develop and articulate, to internal and external audiences, compelling value propositions
  • Manage a team in Market support center or Markets to build scaled solutions across card and non-card commerceCollaborate with Corporate development team for venture investment initiatives within the region that enable Visa to accelerate delivery of new solutions, grow distribution or build greater competitive differentiation
  • Stay up to speed on latest developments in Big tech industry, including updates to regulations, new products etc.

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • You will need 15 + years of relevant industry experience within commercial, consulting and / or product management roles.
  • Deep expertise in the payments industry across card-based payments, A2A payments, local payment methods etc.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex solution design and delivery within a digital or fintech environment
  • You will have demonstrated program management proficiency and be able to point to specific examples where you have led solution development and delivery opportunities end-to-end with business partners.
  • Experience in articulating value propositions with reasonable technical depth across a broad portfolio of products/solutions (preferably digital) through the entire lifecycle
  • You will have a technical bent of mind and be comfortable leading technical discussions with technology-first companies
  • Experience working across multiple markets in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Outstanding executive communications skills as a spokesperson for fintech, innovation & digital commerce trends within Visa and across the industry
  • Strategic, analytical thinker who consistently challenges the status quo and constructively challenges the team to aim for higher ground.
  • Vision and passion for our business, with high energy and intelligence.
  • Structured in your approach, with a high attention to detail and quality on both internal team work and external products brought to market.
  • Excellent contract and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of Visa business and organization strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is a plus.
  • Hands-on, entrepreneurial with the ability to navigate a globally matrixed environment.
  • Experienced team leader who can point to examples of where they have developed high performing team members.
  • Fluent in Mandarin
