What we are looking for
We are looking for a highly organized, analytically minded, and commercially aware individual to join our Schemes Compliance team as a Compliance Officer for our Financial Integrity pillar. This role is focused on supporting the governance, oversight, and continuous improvement of card-network programs related to fraud, disputes, chargebacks, and merchant financial integrity.
You will work across Payments Compliance, Risk, Operations, Product, Legal, and regional stakeholders to help ensure network program requirements are clearly defined, consistently implemented, and well-governed across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in structured program environments, is strong in follow-through and stakeholder coordination, and enjoys turning complex network obligations into scalable compliance processes.
What you’ll do
- Lead and coordinate program management activities across the Financial Integrity pillar, including governance routines, remediation tracking, documentation, and stakeholder coordination for network monitoring programs.
- Support the governance and execution of card-network programs such as ECP, ECM, VAMP, and related dispute and chargeback obligations, ensuring requirements are tracked, communicated, and implemented consistently across teams and regions.
- Maintain program plans, trackers, milestones, action logs, and governance routines for Financial Integrity initiatives, escalations, and remediation workstreams.
- Help translate card-network program requirements into internal policies, procedures, playbooks, and stakeholder actions that can be executed consistently and defensibly.
- Coordinate cross-functional follow-up on remediation plans, open findings, threshold breaches, and other program obligations to ensure timely completion and visibility.
- Support oversight of dispute and chargeback-related compliance obligations, including internal governance, reporting, escalation handling, and documentation.
- Build and maintain clear documentation, operating procedures, and control artifacts that strengthen consistency and audit readiness across the pillar.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or breakdowns in how financial-integrity programs are managed and propose scalable process improvements.
- Prepare concise updates and materials for leadership reviews, governance forums, audits, or external discussions where needed.
- Partner with stakeholders across Compliance, Risk, Legal, Commercial, Product, and Operations to ensure program obligations are understood and executed effectively.
- Help standardize how Adyen manages fraud, dispute, and chargeback-related compliance programs globally, improving visibility, accountability, and follow-through.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, compliance, risk, operations, payments, or similarly cross-functional roles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders at once.
- Experience working in payments, fintech, financial services, or another regulated environment is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with card-network monitoring programs, dispute and chargeback frameworks, fraud-related compliance obligations, or merchant-risk governance is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex requirements into clear actions, documentation, and updates.
- Demonstrated ability to manage structured programs with many dependencies and drive progress without direct authority.
- Experience with program governance, remediation tracking, documentation, or internal control frameworks is strongly preferred.
- A practical, process-oriented mindset with strong follow-through and a bias toward scalable, well-controlled solutions.
- Exposure to disputes, chargebacks, fraud monitoring, or network compliance work is a plus.
- Ability to think both strategically and operationally, balancing business needs with program and control expectations.
