As Senior Communications Manager, you'll play a crucial role in telling the story of our business and driving global awareness of our products. You will be responsible for developing and executing corporate and consumer communications strategy, working closely with product and technology teams to deliver innovative communications solutions. You’ll be at the forefront of our mission to increase digital privacy for everyone -  and you’ll have the chance to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing tech company dedicated to bettering people's lives and safeguarding their data.   • Global Footprint: Collaborate with a highly accomplished global team spread across offices in 11 countries to serve our millions of subscribers in over 100 markets.

Role Responsibilities

  1. Drive external communication strategies and plans that deliver brand and business value around new and existing products, features, and benefits. Collaborate within the global communications team; work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and other teams; and with senior leadership to shape strategy and craft compelling messaging and initiatives.
  2. Deliver a steady drumbeat of quality coverage, building ExpressVPN’s product excellence 
    • Creatively translate ExpressVPN’s leading technology and/or product features into compelling, impactful stories for a wide range of audiences.
    • Leverage your existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within general, tech, and other media to tell our product-focused stories. 
    • Creatively identify opportunities for us to inject our voice and perspective in product conversations.
  3. Actively engage with the media to deliver a steady drumbeat of quality coverage, building awareness of our brands and contributing to thought leadership. 
    • Creatively translate our leading technology and/or product features into compelling, impactful stories for a wide range of audiences.
    • Leverage your existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within general, tech, and other media to tell our stories. 
    • Creatively identify opportunities for us to inject our voice and perspective.
    • Source, analyze, and package data to fuel coverage.
  4. Craft and edit press-ready copy—including press releases, executive quotes and bylines, and collateral—that lives up to our brand’s standards and values.
  5. Establish and manage relationships with non-profits, advocacy groups, and other organizations that align with and advance our mission.

Role Requirements

  • 8-12 years’ experience working in product communications and media relations 
  • Exceptional English writing and editing skills.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams. 
  • Self-driven with strong attention to detail with a passion for strategic communications and public relations.
  • Demonstrable experience proactively identifying coverage opportunities and independently delivering on them.
  • High EQ. Get people excited about working with you and about our company and industry.

Nice skills to have, but not required

  • Experience in consumer tech communications.
  • Understanding of SEO and how media relation strategies can support and enhance SEO.
  • Proficiency in an additional language (e.g., French, German) is an advantage.
