THE WORK:

Ripple is looking for a Senior Communications Manager to join our fast-growing communications team. In this role, you will supervise the development and execution of communications in APAC; devise strategic, country-specific PR plans; lead regional PR agencies; and work with business partners and cross-functional teams within Ripple. This position will be based in Singapore. The ideal candidate is a skilled communications authority who has a successful track record of building a communications program from the ground up. You’ll lead a diverse set of executives and spokespeople from different subject areas, including banking, FinTech, blockchain and payments, and build narratives that these spokespeople can deliver during press interviews and at events. You thrive in a world where you are strategic but can also complete details flawlessly. You are creative with resources and motivated by pushing the boundaries. No job is too big or small for you. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead communications and media strategy for APAC
  • Draft and coordinate the review process for press releases, talking points, messaging documents and other internal and external communications, seeing each through to completion.
  • Interact directly with Ripple’s leaders, world-class customers and industry influencers.
  • Identify and counter misinformation that might interfere with our business and ability to serve our customers.
  • Support media training for company executives, conduct spokesperson training prior to interviews and provide presentation support for speaking engagements.
  • Handle external vendor and agency relationships.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 

  • 10+ years of experience in public relations or product communications, ideally in both in-house and agency settings (tech experience preferred).
  • Established relationships with media contacts and proven success with media relations.
  • Skilled at planning, prioritizing and driving in a fast-paced environment with keen attention to detail.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication with a special curiosity about telling stories in a clear, intriguing and effective way.
  • Excellent at project management that requires collaborating with many contributors.
