This role reports into the Head of Strategy, as part of the Strategy, Marketing, and Partnerships team, which reports into the CEO. Strategy functions as an extension of leadership, guiding decisions to achieve commercial impact and growth. It serves as a hub for generating ideas, improving processes, and planning for the future in the dynamic and evolving cybersecurity industry. Strategy also plays a role in managing strategic partnerships with shareholders and government stakeholders. You’ll be joining at an exciting time when the Strategy team is evolving in its mandate, and in the thick of the action as we transform the organisation for the next stage of growth.
Duties & responsibilities
- Work closely with the Head of Strategy to define and execute workstreams that determine the future direction of the company. These may include:
- Commercial strategy
- Organisational strategy
- Corporate development (investments, M&A)
- Strategic partnerships
- Take responsibility for assigned work streams end-to-end, including:
- Define work plan and timelines
- Identify right stakeholders to collaborate with and bring them on the journey
- Carry out quantitative and/or qualitative analysis
- Develop & deliver presentations to relevant stakeholders
- Assist in preparing clear and effective materials to management and stakeholders, including reports, presentation slides and data sheets
- Researching and analysing market reports, financial data, technology and industry trends that would be required to develop Ensign’s priorities and direction
- Support Head of Strategy in driving stakeholder engagement, both internal and external which may include government agencies, shareholders and Ensign executives
- Performing other relevant duties as assigned
Key qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with less than 4 years of work experience
- Problem-solving: ability to think in a structured way, interpret data, develop insights,
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
- Strong stakeholder management skills: driving collaboration and building win-win relationships for the long-term, whether internally or externally
- Self-starter who can operate independently, with strong organisation capabilities & time management
- Comfort with ambiguity
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Proficiency with PowerPoint decks, Excel analysis
- Tenacity in building something from scratch and seeing it through end-to-end, both strategy and execution
- Growth mindset and ownership over your own career development
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience in consulting or in-house strategy ideal but not required
- Prior experience in engaging senior stakeholders and project management
- Deep knowledge of financial and operational metrics
- Experience in the IT or Cybersecurity industry a plus, though not a r
