This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 4 days minimum per week in the office.

We are seeking to hire an individual with a few years’ experience to support HarbourVest’s Evergreen private equity offering. The role is broad in scope and has three key elements to help support the growth of the platform: 1) product management & operations support, 2) project management, and 3) provide technical expertise. The position will need to be adept at balancing day-to-day inquiries with longer-term projects. Over time the individual is expected to develop technical expertise and assist with the creation of efficiencies within the team. This role would suit someone who has either some level of product management or operations experience within either private markets, open-ended funds, or private wealth and is looking to advance their career by expanding their scope. Role is based in Singapore.

  • Interest in private markets and expanding their knowledge of private market funds
  • Succeeded working in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple responsibilities and projects
What you will do:
  • Work with the Evergreen Investment Specialist and Operations team to drive growth of HarbourVest’s Evergreen Solutions in APAC and EMEA
  • Support sales teams to drive fundraising by delivering in-depth vehicle and market knowledge on a regular basis, coordinating meeting follow-ups, and tailoring content to meet channel needs or market conditions
  • Working with broader product specialists, sales and marketing specialists to help facilitate the regional distribution of Evergreen fund strategies
  • Serve as a primary source of evergreen product knowledge and materials in support of collective sales efforts
  • Provide investment insights, performance commentary, and technical input for RFPs, thought leadership materials, and portfolio updates, and review submissions to ensure investment accuracy and quality
  • Supporting operational requirements of the Ex-US evergreen products and acting as the key operational support in the APAC region with local partners
  • Monitoring and evaluation of market and competitor developments / trends alongside within a fast-moving market to ensure the platform keeps up with market requirements
  • Ongoing project management to meet the platform’s needs and objectives. This could include supporting regional feeder support and helping create connectivity with fund/wealth platforms, and institutional pipeline management
  • Management and maintenance of funds data and documentation including RFP/Operational Due Diligence (ODD) support
What you bring:
  • A blend of product leadership, investment capabilities, and commercial and/or sales experience
  • Strong understanding of private markets
  • Understands the mechanics and inter-dependencies of open-ended funds and broad understanding of fund operations
  • Strong written and oral English communication (other language skills a plus)
  • A strong understanding of quantitative investment measurements and statistical tools
  • A self-starter, able to develop new processes, and is a problem solver
  • Understands private wealth including intermediary /distribution platforms
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Education Preferred:
  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • CFA / CAIA a plus
Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in alternative investment, open-ended funds, product specialist & operations, institutional or private wealth, investor relations capacity preferred
