Responsibilities:
  • Performing end-to-end processing of monthly multi-country payrolls in India and APAC (Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Australia and Japan) including scheduling and timelines, collection of information, analysis, input, reconciliation, funding, reporting and follow-up
  • Keep the regional and global team abreast of changing payroll and benefits laws in country
  • Completing and auditing tax filings as required by government 
  • Producing payroll and compensation reports as scheduled for various departments and assisting with participation in special surveys
  • General ledger reporting process including preparing, auditing, and delivering files to Accounting
  • Coordinating with HR for onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining the relevant systems for electronic personnel and compensation data
  • Collecting and processing new hire documentation and maintaining employee files to ensure compliance
  • Ensuring labor law compliances are adhered to in the region
  • Helping strategize on payroll best practice, and implementing policy/procedures that ensure ongoing risk controls
  • Owning the Payroll and Benefits email inbox, and being the first point of contact to assist employees with daily questions
  • Assisting with the annual benefits renewal and enrollment process, and liaising with vendors to resolve employee benefit matters and maintain data integrity
  • Preparing monthly benefits reports for 3rd party insurers, and auditing/processing monthly invoices (GTL, GPA, Health Insurance etc.)
  • Reviewing benefits carrier connection uploads and investigating any errors
  • Working with the global team and consultants to find valuable benefit plans for the Tower companies in the APAC and India region
  • Supporting our global benefits initiative by competitive marketing
  • Providing demographic information, and analytics to that will be used to manage the global benefits platform
  • Coordinating and delivering benefits information sessions and workshops for new hires, annual enrollment and ongoing benefits acclimation
  • Producing and auditing benefits billing reconciliations and assist with participation in special surveys
  • Ensuring benefits compliance according to country laws
  • Managing the data integrity of 3rd party vendor data (i.e., health census data, enrollments, salaries for life assurance coverage)
  • Serving as a liaison with benefits providers to help resolve employee claims
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of HR experience in Payroll and Benefits
  • Specific knowledge of APAC/India payroll is a must 
  • Knowledge of Workday is a plus
  • Payroll and/or benefits implementation experience a plus
  • Ability to execute processes and tasks with little supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respond effectively to such situations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex payroll and benefits material
  • Strong Excel skills and knowledge of any well-known payroll and benefits systems
  • Aptitude to learn and understand new software and applications quickly
