Revenue Finance provides insight into X’s business using financial analysis built on strong relationships. We engage directly with both senior management and front-line sales to understand the drivers of X’s revenue and how to optimize that revenue. As a member of the Revenue Finance team, you will play a critical role in driving financial strategy and operational efficiency through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities- Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in Sales, Finance, and across the company to drive revenue optimization.
- Build financial models to analyze complex and ambiguous business issues, including revenue forecasting, market sizing, compensation structures, and product pricing.
- Relate financial performance to advertiser needs, creating compelling cases for action to present to senior sales management.
- Use metrics and analytics to identify growth risks and opportunities, influencing business partners to drive timely decision-making.
- Work with large data sets, synthesize insights, and present actionable recommendations to executives.
- Design and implement reporting tools to support business partners in Sales, Finance, and Operations.
- Create meaningful presentations and analyses that tell a story focused on insights, not just data.
- Streamline processes and increase bandwidth within the Revenue Finance team through automation and outsourcing.
- Collaborate with Sales management, Finance, and Operations Leadership to create revenue growth plans, establish financial and operating targets, and determine optimal resource requirements.
- Draft and communicate policies to facilitate smoother operations and improve decision-making across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
- 5+ years of experience in investment banking, financial services, management consulting, or the tech/internet industry.
- Proficiency in English with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience writing SQL queries and pulling data from relational databases.
- Experience manipulating complex and large data sets.
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different functions and effectively influence senior business partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle competing requests, and thrive in ambiguous situations while adapting to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
- Knowledge of the digital advertising space or social media industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a personable and approachable demeanor to connect with team members and stakeholders across the business.
- Enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proven ability to streamline processes through automation or outsourcing to enhance team efficiency.
