About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer (Computer Vision) to design, build, and deploy CV-based evaluation and testing capabilities on the Resaro platform. You will work across research and product teams, translating state-of-the-art computer vision (CV) models into robust, domain-specific solutions — from medical and X-ray imaging to aerial and defence applications.
You will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, including data pipeline design, model training and optimisation, scalable deployment, and integration into production testing modules.
Key Responsibilities
Core (Technical)
- Build and deploy end-to-end computer vision pipelines, covering data ingestion, preprocessing, training, evaluation, inference, and monitoring.
- Utilise deep expertise across core computer vision tasks, including:
- Object detection, segmentation (semantic / instance / panoptic), and classification
- Tracking, keypoint detection, OCR, and anomaly detection (bonus)
- Adapt generic, off-the-shelf, open-source models (e.g. COCO-based, DETR, YOLO, SAM, ViT, diffusion models) to domain-specific environments such as medical, X-ray, aerial, or defence imagery.
- Optimise models for deployment, applying quantisation, pruning, and ONNX or TensorRT optimisation to balance accuracy, latency, and resource efficiency.
- Develop automated labelling, perturbation, and synthetic data generation pipelines for model evaluation and robustness testing.
- Deploy CV inference workloads into scalable serving architectures (Triton, FastAPI + GPU orchestration, Docker).
- Deliver production-grade Python code integrated within the Resaro platform.
Product & Collaboration
- Work closely with Responsible AI Scientists to define evaluation methodologies and robustness testing strategies.
- Work with backend and platform engineers to integrate CV services within Resaro’s microservice framework.
- Contribute to best practices in model testing, explainability, auditability, and reproducibility.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years experience building and deploying CV systems in production environments.
- Strong foundation across major CV tasks and state-of-the-art architectures.
- Proven ability to adapt pre-trained models to domain-specific datasets (e.g. medical, X-ray, satellite).
- Solid experience in model optimisation and efficient deployment, including quantisation, ONNX, and TensorRT.
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and modern inference frameworks.
- Familiarity with MLOps, containerised deployment (Docker/Kubernetes), and data pipeline automation (labelling, augmentation, synthetic data generation).
