We are seeking an experienced Semiconductor Process Optimisation Senior Engineer to lead process innovation, continuous improvement, and advanced technology development initiatives. This role focuses on improving yield, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency across semiconductor fabrication processes.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, hands-on semiconductor process knowledge, and a passion for driving measurable improvements through data-driven methodologies, experimentation, and cross-functional collaboration to bring new technologies to volume production.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and optimise process integration flow for silicon-based photonics devices.
- Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimise critical process parameters (throughput, yield, etc.).
- Collaborate with devices, integration, equipment, and reliability teams to enhance process capability.
- Drive technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing with optimised process windows.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related field
- 20+ years of semiconductor process engineering experience (R&D or manufacturing)
- Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication process flows (lithography, etch, deposition, implantation, CMP, etc.)
- Extensive experience with die bonding, pick and place, advanced imaging sensors, optical components, advanced packaging methods
- Demonstrated experience in process optimisation and yield improvement
- Hands-on experience with DOE, statistical modeling, and process capability analysis
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Python, origin or similar
- Experience leading cross-functional technical projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced semiconductor nodes or III-V compound semiconductors
- Experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in silicon photonics
- Strong publication or patent record in semiconductor process innovation
