The principal activities of the company are manufacturing, trading, and supply of specialty construction chemicals in the building and construction industry.

Job Description

Reporting to the Vertical Market Manager, we are looking for a Sales Manager :

  1. Produce effective plans for future commercial sales development  and to recommend and implement where appropriate business strategies for Singapore in terms of quality, availability, price and competition 

  2. Manage the marketing of products in Singapore in the most cost-effective manner, consistent with overall Group policies. 

  3. Conduct regular contract review and ensure customer’s requirements are within the Company’s business. 

  4. Ensure customer’s requirements are adequately conveyed to the production and technical departments. 

  5. Initiate Customer Complaint Reports to ensure that complaints are promptly and efficiently dealt with. 

  6. Develop and present each year, a cost, revenue and profit budget plan for the marketing / sales / business in the local market. 

  7. Report each month on performance against agreed plans and to propose and implement where appropriate, specific actions to remedy deficiencies against planned results. 

  8. To supply Highlights of Activities, Market Movements and Items of Interest.  

  9. Ensure communications between colleagues are effective in order that other areas are not placed at a disadvantage through lack of knowledge. 

  10. Pass any relevant information on all matters that come to your notice pertaining to the business to your line manager. 

  11. Obtain and update as a continuous process adequate market information and trends, together with competitors’ development and corporate directions in order to provide the Company with reliable background information on which to base marketing and product decisions. 

  12. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized.   

  • Self-motivator with strong organizational skills and follow up habits 

  • Possess problem solving skills. 

  • Strong leadership skills. 

  • Possess good knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Degree/Diploma in Construction related discipline. 

  • Candidates with no sales experience but technical knowledge and experience in infrastructure, construction and A1 main contractor will be considered.
