Do you have a passion for business development and a knack for building strong relationships?
We're seeking a talented Sales Executive to join our team at Asian Legal Business (ALB), a leading legal media company owned by Thomson Reuters. This is an individual contributor role who will be responsible for driving business development across Southeast Asia, focusing on selling sponsorships and advertisements for our events and print business.
ALB is a trusted and respected brand in the legal industry, providing comprehensive coverage of the Asia-Pacific region through our monthly magazine, online presence, and numerous events. Focusing on major legal markets in Asia, ALB offers news, analysis, rankings, and networking opportunities for law firms, in-house counsel, and legal professionals, contributing significantly to the development and growth of the legal industry in the region.
About the Role
In this opportunity as a Sales Executive - Asian Legal Business, you will:

  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue targets for sponsorships and advertisements independently and efficiently across Southeast Asia.
  • Identify potential new customers, conduct cold calls, face-to-face meetings, and product demonstrations to prospects and clients.
  • Negotiate and close contracts, creating win-win situations for both clients and the company.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the legal industry across Southeast Asia.
  • Provide timely sales reports, communicate pipeline progress, and monitor the competitive landscape for market opportunities.

About You
You’re a fit for the role of Sales Executive - Asian Legal Business if you have the following required qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant B2B sales experience within media/advertising/events space
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is required, knowledge of other Asian languages is advantageous.
  • Confident presenter with excellent negotiation skills and experience in both in-person and virtual sales environments.
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of achieving sales targets independently and ability to learn product knowledge quickly.
  • Cultural sensitivity and flexibility, with experience working with Asia-based customers and willingness to travel as required.
