About The Job

Reporting to the Senior Environmental and Shipowner Sales Manager, you will be working with customers to develop or make improvements to the Decarbonisation strategies. You will be responsible for delivering and securing profitable growth within the Marine division by concluding direct sales of Alfa Laval products and services, in line with the South East Asia Sales Company targets and objectives.

In this role, you will be based in Singapore and will manage assigned customer relationship, including formulating and driving a specific customer account strategy to encompass the complete long-term relationship between Alfa Laval and the customer. 

This role is an individual contributor role and does not have team reporting to the role.

Job Description

  • Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval solution in the Marine industry.
  • Work with customer to develop or make improvements to the Decarbonisation strategies.
  • Analyze and understand market insights and the customers buying behaviour and make sales plans according to the business division strategy and targets.
  • Look for and manage leads from the market and customers and convert them in real business opportunities in other to ensure the pipeline.
  • Be active in the market and focus on making visits, meetings and interactions to customers, focusing on customer needs understanding and highlighting the value of our products and services.
  • Develop customized proposal to meet customers’ requirement and advocate value based selling and follow through to achieve performance.
  • Use the CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and take decisions.

What You Know

  • Bachelor’s degree from recognized university, in Mechanical or Marine Engineering or related.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 solid years of experiences in sales / services sales / after sales preferably in the Marine industry.
  • Possess good understanding of Maritime sustainability regulations and new technologies.
  • Well-versed with development and execution of sales strategies and has also demonstrated proven track record of over-achievement in your current or previous work capacity.
  • Strong with data analytics, using both offline and online channels to grow sales. 
  • Proactive, service minded, strong in customer care and take quick actions.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong customer focus. You should have the courage to take new initiatives and drive implementation.
