We are looking for a Research Assistant to support research on AI-enabled renewable energy systems. The role will focus on offshore wind farm simulation and control using reinforcement learning, digital twin development, and intelligent decision-making methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on offshore wind farm simulation and AI-based control methods.

  • Develop and implement reinforcement learning and machine learning algorithms for renewable energy applications.

  • Build and maintain simulation and digital twin platforms for renewable energy systems.

  • Develop software tools and computational frameworks for intelligent control and optimisation.

  • Perform data analysis, numerical experiments, and model validation.

  • Support research activities within Assistant Professor Dawei Qiu’s research group at NTU.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

  • Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch.

  • Experience in software development, reinforcement learning, simulation, or data analysis is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with offshore wind farm simulators is advantageous.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment.
