As a Quality Engineering (QE) Inspector at MSB, you will be responsible for performing visual inspections on our company's products and operating inspection tools/machines to detect any abnormalities, ensuring quality output. You will take the initiative in maintaining overall production efficiencies of assigned workstations, log machine statuses when necessary, and communicate with the appropriate personnel to address and resolve issues encountered. Your responsibilities include supporting a safe work environment by following safety procedures and promptly reporting identified safety and health hazards.

Key Responsibilities:

Visual Inspections and Equipment Operation:

  • Perform visual inspections on our company's products using manual microscopes to identify defects or abnormalities.
  • Operate multiple machines to detect defects.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use computer-based programs and applications to perform daily duties.
  • Provide machine coverage during breaks as assigned by leaders.
  • Log machine statuses in our system timely and accurately.
  • Monitor and report equipment performance discrepancies to leaders promptly.

Ensure Quality of Process and Product:

  • Perform visual inspections following a set of standards.
  • Operate equipment based on current process specifications (e.g., procedures, change notifications, etc.).
  • Organize workstations and ensure 6S standards are maintained.
  • Make suggestions to improve quality and safety.

Certification and Recertification:

  • Actively participate in assigned on-the-job and other required training; ask questions to increase knowledge and abilities.
  • Complete certification requirements by demonstrating understanding and abilities on time.

Communication:

  • Receive and understand pass-down information, providing clear, accurate, and detailed pass-downs as needed.
  • Seek and provide feedback to leadership, coworkers, and support groups to make positive changes in operations.
  • Offer suggestions for improvements when appropriate.
  • Always seek clarification when in doubt.

Contribute to a Safe and Compliant Work Environment:

  • Identify and promptly report hazards.
  • Follow safety and health protocols.
  • Use proper lifting techniques and work ergonomically.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Preferably GCE N/O level or SPM equivalent.
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts with biweekly rotation of day and night shifts.
  • Must be able to work in a controlled (ESD protected or Cleanroom) environment.
  • Ability to use a microscope.
