Most QA roles are about catching bugs. This one is about building the quality systems that let an AI-first company ship with confidence. If you want to own that, keep reading.
The CompanySendbird is on a mission to build the AI workforce of tomorrow. For over a decade, we built the infrastructure behind conversations—chat, voice, video, messaging APIs—and became the #1 CPaaS platform for in-app communications. 4,000+ brands trust us. 7 billion messages flow through our platform every month. 300 million monthly active users.
We powered conversations for DoorDash, Match Group, Noom, Yahoo Sports, Rakuten, and thousands of others. We were good at what we did. Really good.
We also saw it early: AI would fundamentally reshape how businesses talk to customers. The infrastructure we'd spent a decade building would become commoditized. The value would move up the stack—into intelligence, into experience, into outcomes.
We had a choice: protect what we built, or reinvent ourselves.
We chose reinvention.
In December 2024, we made the full strategic pivot to AI-first customer experience. By February 2025, we'd launched our AI agent for enterprise CX—built on a decade of conversation data, now with intelligence on top. And in November 2025, we rebranded to delight.ai.
The name says it all. AI's real promise isn't efficiency or cost savings. It's giving customers back something they lost—the feeling of being truly understood and cared for. Not satisfied. Delighted.
The ProductDelight.ai is the AI concierge for customer experience. Most AI agents forget you the moment the conversation ends. Ours doesn't. Delight.ai builds memory over time, learns preferences, and connects context across every channel—chat, SMS, email, voice, WhatsApp—without losing the thread. We're building AI that makes customers feel understood, seen, and remembered.
Why QA EngineerWe pivoted hard into AI-first customer experience, launched an enterprise AI agent, and rebranded, all within months. That pace isn't slowing down. It means the bar for quality has to move with us, and the tools we use to enforce that bar need to be as modern as the product itself.
This isn't a checkpoint role. It's a systems role. We need someone who uses AI to move faster, catch smarter, and build quality infrastructure that scales. If you want to own quality at a company in the middle of something genuinely new, and you're ready to bring AI into how you do it, this is that seat.
The RoleYou own test strategy and quality execution across Sendbird's product surface, from designing test scenarios and automation frameworks to building internal tooling that keeps documentation and reporting sharp as specs evolve at speed. This role is for a systematic thinker who builds with AI, not just alongside it.
You might be this person if:- You think about test coverage the way an engineer thinks about architecture: structure first, then execution.
- You reach for AI tools, whether agentic CLIs, workflow automation, or custom scripts, when repetitive QA tasks slow you down.
- You've built or meaningfully contributed to a test automation framework and have strong opinions about what good looks like.
- You treat bugs as signals, not just tickets. You want to understand why something broke, not just log that it did.
- You get frustrated when documentation doesn't keep up with a fast-moving product, so you fix it yourself, ideally with automation.
- You can hold context across Web, Mobile Web, and App environments without losing the thread.
- You go beyond simply executing assigned tests by leveraging AI tools to improve your own performance, applying those improvements in practice, and sharing practical suggestions to enhance QA processes.
- You collaborate naturally with engineers and PMs and communicate clearly in English across time zones.
- 3+ years of QA experience in a SaaS product environment, with solid command of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Demonstrated experience designing strategic test plans and structured test cases.
- Strong understanding of Web, Mobile Web, and App characteristics, including network environments and underlying operating principles.
- Clear English communication skills for day-to-day collaboration with a global team.
- Proficiency with Jira, Slack, and Confluence.
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools and applying that experience to enhance test design, bug reporting, analysis, and overall productivity.
- Design user-centric test scenarios and build systematic test plans grounded in established QA methodologies.
- Use AI tools to accelerate test case generation, automate repetitive QA workflows, and surface bug patterns faster.
- Identify, document, and report bugs with the detail that actually helps engineers fix them fast, leveraging AI-assisted triage where it adds speed.
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks, and expand coverage as new features ship.
- Develop internal QA bots or dashboards that give Engineering and Product real-time visibility into quality metrics.
- Connect QA tooling to central workflow automation platforms (Make, Zapier, or n8n) to reduce manual reporting overhead.
- Review requirements, specs, and technical design documents, and keep documentation current as those specs change.
- Manage test devices and environments, leveraging AI to analyze OS version distribution, track update status, and improve overall maintenance efficiency.
