Project Manager - Bullion & Precious Metals

The Project Manager – Bullion & Precious Metals will lead end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives across the bank’s Bullion Trading, Precious Metals Operations, and related Treasury platforms. The role requires deep understanding of physical and unallocated metals products, strong project governance capabilities, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams across Technology, Operations, Front Office, Finance, Risk, and Compliance.

This position is critical for supporting the bank’s Singapore-based precious metals business, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and successful delivery of technology and process transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle delivery of Bullion and Precious Metals projects covering trading, settlement, vault management, pricing, and reporting.
• Drive platform enhancements to support gold, silver, platinum, and other metals across spot, swaps, lending/borrowing, allocated/unallocated positions.
• Oversee integration with treasury trading systems (e.g., Murex, Calypso) and external partners (vaults, refineries, logistics providers).
• Ensure compliance with MAS regulations and global precious metals standards.
• Coordinate with Operations to streamline metal movement workflows, reconciliation, and inventory reporting.
• Manage project governance including scope, timeline, budget, RAID logs, and stakeholder communication.
• Facilitate SIT/UAT planning, execution, and sign-offs; manage production rollout and post-implementation review.
• Work closely with regional and global teams to align architecture, controls, and delivery priorities.
• Identify opportunities for automation, STP improvement, and operational risk reduction.

• 7–12+ years of experience in banking/financial services, with at least 3–5 years focused on Bullion/Precious Metals or Commodities projects.
• Proven track record managing technology or operations change initiatives within Treasury/Global Markets.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end precious metals trade lifecycle and physical metals operations.
• Experience with trading systems: Murex, Calypso, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with MAS regulations and reporting requirements for bullion activities.
• Hands-on experience in project methodologies (Agile/Waterfall), business analysis, testing, and vendor coordination.

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Excel, and data analysis tools.
