Job Description

Role responsibilities –

  • Conduct customer discovery using curiosity and empathy and use that knowledge to develop a strategic direction for a technology domain that aligns to our goals, tech roadmap, and customer goals.
  • Gather and summarize market information, customer personas and desires per persona, technology trends, competitive research, and evolving customer requirements to identify product enhancements and new opportunities for platform/product improvements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Marketing, Sales, and Engagement and use inquiry-based innovation methods to lead out a vision for your product/features
  • Lead the complete product development lifecycle in an agile environment. Manage priorities, and actively develop and accomplish an adaptable and data-driven product roadmap. Both follow and adapt the disciplined Common Product Development (CPD) process to successfully launch in context of circumstances
  • Effectively translate the technology vision and roadmap into product programs, including functional needs, supported use cases/workflow and success criteria
  • Develop next gen products forecasts and launch plan to meet TTM that balances Return on investment. Determine pricing strategy and product margin, and commercial launch plan.
  • Create and manage product success metrics that are easily understood and build action plans to show progress against priority metrics
  • Rhythm of business: perform P&L responsibility through development and execution of growth plans, provide highest-level of customer service, and lifecycle management. Ensure global resources are positioned to support customers and expand markets by collaborating with several functions and partners to deliver and continuously improve solution-oriented marketing
  • You will report to the Business Manager and help accomplish our goals and objectives for our business.
  • You will manage the product line responsibility and there are no people reporting into this role.

What we are looking for –

  • 8 years' experience as Product Manager, managing products from strategy to design and development in an agile environment, along with experience with pricing, leadership, influence, and forecasting is required
  • Product management principles knowledge required with a clear understanding of what it takes to design, build and launch products that will delight customers and simplify their experience with Rockwell Automation
  • Is able to summarize information and feedback from various sources and turn into relevant insights and valuable product requirements
  • Knowledge of XaaS, customer journey mapping and cloud-native products to thoughtfully engage with Engineering and team members across Rockwell Automation on decisions related to the product
  • A customer advocate who pursues excellence in strategy, planning, AND execution
  • A strong communicator and advocate for us, technology, and product vision
  • You must be a team player with strong collaboration ability and skills who is comfortable working with Engineering, Quality, Project Management, Marketing, Sales, and other departments to make customers and us successful
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical fields, or equivalent experience in industry.
  • You will be part of diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone is valued and respected

Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office.
