About the Role

This role offers broad exposure across the full product lifecycle and the opportunity to influence how participating life insurance solutions are designed, priced, governed and delivered.
The incumbent’s main responsibility is Actuarial pricing in support of the development for new and innovative participating products or campaigns, including the development of assumptions and pricing models, preparation of regulatory product filings, internal presentations, and support in product implementation.

  • Actuarial pricing of new and existing participating products, including preparation of reports and presentations for senior management
  • Assess and evaluate key financial metrics, and propose ways to improve them while balancing the need for product competitiveness 

  • Engage a range of internal stakeholders on pricing and implementation matters 

  • Review of product-related documents and provide policy servicing support 

  • Provide technical and implementation support for system development, including UAT, Day 1 and post-launch enhancements 

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent quantitative discipline 

  • Min 3 years of actuarial experience in life insurance with hands-on exposure to product pricing and product development related work 

  • Demonstrated progress toward a recognised actuarial qualification 

  • Strong actuarial modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills, with disciplined attention to accuracy, controls and documentation 

  • Ability to turn complex analysis into concise recommendations and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines 

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Word 

  • Knowledge of Prophet or similar actuarial software is a strong advantage
