Description/Job Purpose
BlackRock has an opportunity for a qualified candidate to join the firm as a Principal-level professional in the Global Infrastructure Solutions (‘GIS’) business, based in Hong Kong. As part of the GIS Capital Formation & Solutions team, the candidate will lead capital formation, investor servicing, and strategic investor projects for the Asia Pacific region.

Global Infrastructure Solutions (“GIS”) is a division within Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP). GIP is a standalone division of BlackRock, and a leading infrastructure investor that specializes in investing in, owning and operating some of the largest and most complex assets across the energy, transport, digital infrastructure and water and waste management sectors. In October 2024, BlackRock completed the acquisition of GIP, positioning GIP to continue to capitalize on the long-term structural trends driving infrastructure growth. GIP & BlackRock manage a combined $183B, creating the largest global infrastructure investment platform.
GIS is the firm’s private infrastructure multi-manager solutions group with offices in New York City, London, Zurich, Budapest and Hong Kong. GIS is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business that builds and implements outcome-oriented private infrastructure portfolios for institutional and wealth investors globally through investments into funds (primaries and secondaries) and direct co-investments. The team employs a diversified approach, investing across sectors – including transportation, energy, power & utilities, telecommunications, social, and water – as well as across geographies. With a track record of over 240 investments executed since 2008 and close to $20B in AUM, GIS has one of the most experienced infrastructure multi-manager teams in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Formation: Contribute to AUM growth of business by leading project management for capital formation, client due diligence, and product development for the Asia Pacific region, including coordinating closely with investment teams, sales channels, legal, operations, and other teams.
Investor Solutions: Support fundraising efforts of the global team with a focus on the Asia Pacific region across client channels in close partnership with sales and relationship management teams for commingled funds and customized separately managed accounts. Support creation of customized separate account solutions including investment strategy, governance and engagement model, pricing negotiations, etc.
Client Engagement & Servicing: Prepare and present client investment pipeline and portfolio reviews including quantitative and qualitative portfolio analyses in partnership with investment and portfolio management teams. Develop varied analysis (industry / client-related) and answer ongoing queries from clients and distribution colleagues in a timely manner.

Skills & Qualifications
10+ years of relevant experience in preferably multi-manager or direct infrastructure or private equity firms, or in placement agents covering these asset classes
Proven track record in working with investors and raising capital at scale in the Asia Pacific region, including markets such as Korea, Japan, Greater China, Southeast Asia and Australasia
Strong analytical skillset with ability to synthesize complex information and convey it in a clear, concise, and engaging manner
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English
Ability to manage workload effectively and deliver quality work on schedule in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Ability to work in a cross-border team and travel extensively
Self-starter with interest in undertaking leadership responsibilities over time
Undergraduate degree with demonstrated record of academic achievement and leadership
