We are seeking a talented and commercially driven individual to join Marsh as the Northern Territory Leader – Corporate & Commercial, based in our Darwin office. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

Northern Territory Leader – Corporate & Commercial

This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who can combine strong client relationship management with people leadership, commercial growth, and market presence across the Northern Territory.

Overseas candidates will be considered with sponsorship offered if successful.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead Marsh’s Corporate & Commercial business across the Northern Territory, building a strong market presence and delivering sustainable growth.

  • Manage a portfolio of key corporate and commercial clients, ensuring outstanding client service and long-term relationships.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team through clear direction, delegation, performance management, and regular feedback.

  • Drive the achievement of business plans, revenue targets, and profit objectives while maintaining strong financial and budget discipline.

  • Oversee renewal and broking strategies, claims management, and client retention initiatives to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

  • Work closely with insurers and Marsh’s national and global resources to maximise value for clients and identify new growth opportunities.

  • Act as a trusted market leader, strengthening Marsh’s profile and influence across the Northern Territory.

What you need to have:

  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, relevant legislation, including the Insurance Contracts Act and Trade Practices Act, and industry best practices.

  • Proven experience managing key accounts and leading high-performing teams within the insurance or financial services sector.

  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to engage, influence, coach, and develop others.

  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and delegation skills.

  • Professional accreditation such as Tier 1 FSRA Compliance, Associate membership of The Institute, and admission as a Qualified Practising Insurance Broker (NIBA).

  • A strong commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous professional development.
