We are seeking a Platform-level Senior New Product Manufacturing Engineer (NPME) with strong system engineering capability to support Factory Interfaces and Mainframe modules.

This role requires deep expertise across Electrical (Controls/CES) and Mechanical domains, with ownership spanning NPI, system integration, Supplier Engagement & Resolution Lead, manufacturing readiness, and production support.

The individual will act as an on-site technical anchor, improving build success rates, reducing issue turnaround time, and enabling seamless transition from NPI to high-volume manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing readiness for FI/Mainframe platforms including BOM, OMS, and build strategies
  • Drive DFx (Design for Manufacturability/Test/Assembly) and early engagement in NPI/PLC and leverage DMU / virtual builds to identify manufacturability risks early
  • Own NPI → HVM transition with focus on quality, cycle time, and system stability
  • Act as system integrator across Electrical and Mechanical domains
  • Lead/support managed builds, engineering builds, and qualification activities
  • Drive Form-Fit-Function (FFF) validation and system-level integration checks
  • Support test engineering activities including test procedures and fixture readiness
  • Serve as primary SME for FI/Mainframe manufacturing issues
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting for line-down/system-level issues
  • Support BOM/SMBOM/configuration issues impacting production
  • Enable technicians on system configuration, software imaging, and validation
  • Reduce dependency on remote teams and improve turnaround time
  • Lead RCCA (Root Cause & short term Corrective Action) for complex system issues and drive long-term corrective actions and systemic improvements
  • Resolve NCs, DMRs, SPS, ESWs, ECOs, NSRs
  • Support rework, containment, and shortage mitigation to avoid downtime and manage excess inventory (E&Z)
  • Ensure accurate BOM and configuration alignment across systems through change management processes (ECO, NSR, ESW, SPS, CCB)
  • Support daily operations and act as manufacturing voice in design and system decisions
  • Collaborate with Design, Test, Manufacturing, PM, Suppliers, and CMs
  • support CIP / strategic initiatives and process automation to improve velocity and productivity for the NPI Organization which includes cycle time, quality, and regional capability and Heavy core initiatives
  • Support supplier builds, first article validation, and CM readiness and Engage with regional CMs for issue resolution
  • Examine, prepare, and verify technical drawings and specifications of electrical systems, to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards
  • Analyze electrical schematics and harness designs
  • Knowledge on Electrical system components and its functionality
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, interconnects, and cable assemblies
  • Experience in value analysis (VA) of schematics, cables, components, and bill of materials (BOM)
  • Fundamental knowledge of controllers and overall control system architecture
  • Capability to validate OMS against MLO requirements, schematics, and cable Configurations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure product manufacturability and compliance with specifications.

Other requirements:

  • Extensive experience in NPME or System Engineering roles
  • Strong experience in FI/Mainframe systems with Electrical + Mechanical integration
  • Proven experience in NPI, system integration, and manufacturing support
  • Expertise in BOM management, DFx, change control, and build execution
  • Hands-on exposure to Controls / Customer Engineering Special design/ test systems
  • Strong capability in system-level troubleshooting and integration
  • Experience working with global teams and contract manufacturers
  • Travel to supplier / CM sites as required
