Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Network Engineer to join our Singapore team. The ideal candidate brings 8–10+ years of enterprise networking experience and will own day-to-day network operations across the Asia region while leading the design and delivery of Vitol’s IT network infrastructure. You will work as part of a global Follow-the-Sun team, collaborating with IT teams worldwide to deliver reliable, secure, and modern network solutions across LAN, WAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Support
- Own day-to-day network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance management across LAN, WAN, and data center environments.
- Manage firmware upgrades and ensure all equipment is maintained to current stable releases.
- Participate in on-call rotation and Follow-the-Sun (FTS) coverage.
- Escalate issues effectively to vendors, data centers, and remote offices.
- Operate and develop Monitoring & Automation platforms
Design & Architecture
- Design, build and develop next-generation network topologies and drive modernization initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, high-availability network designs.
- Create and document network processes, standards, and design architecture
- Enable Cloud architecture development
Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintain Palo Alto Firewalls for network security and access control.
- Manage Cisco ISE for network authentication.
- Manage F5 LTM/GTM environments
- Manage proxy solutions (Zscaler, Palo Alto, McAfee).
- Document all network processes, cabling layouts, and security configurations.
Certifications / Education
- BSc in Networking or equivalent
- CCNP (required)
- F5 LTM certification - advantageous
Technical skills
- Switching & Routing (Cisco Catalyst & Nexus; Huawei and other vendors, Eigrp, Ospf, BGP, DmVPN)
- SD-WAN design & operation, Low-latency & Internet circuit experience
- Wireless deployment and operation (Aruba, Cisco Meraki, China EIRP/SRRC wireless compliance)
- Network security and Access control (Palo Alto FW, Zscaler solution, Proxy, Cisco ISE, 802.x, Radius, Tacacs)
- Load Balancing implementation and operation (F5 LTM, GTM, WAF, F5 Silverline)
- Cloud solution implementation (Multi-Cloud tenants)
- Monitoring tools (Solarwinds, ThousandEyes…)
- Telephony systems (Audiocodes SBC, MS Teams voice)
- Experience with trading market data platform – advantageous
