Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Controllership team at Marsh. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Marsh Risk Singapore Controller is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing financial management and control functions across six entities, including one regulated entity. You will lead a team of finance and risk management professionals to ensure excellence in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

We will count on you to:

  • Oversee monthly close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements in Singapore, including MAS regulations.

  • Lead the development and maintenance of robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets.

  • Manage cash flow, treasury functions, foreign exchange exposure, and intercompany transactions.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and business leaders, providing financial insights and stakeholder support.

  • Lead, develop, and collaborate with a high-performing finance team, driving process improvements and automation initiatives.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA highly preferred.

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role within a large multinational corporation, preferably in Insurance or Insurance broking. Audit experience with Big 4 preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, Singapore tax regulations, internal controls, and risk management frameworks relevant to insurance and risk management.
