About us
  • At Sierra, we’re creating a platform to help businesses build better, more human customer experiences with AI. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices in Atlanta, New York, London, Paris, Madrid, Munich, Singapore, Japan, and Sydney.

  • We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and Family. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.

  • Our co-founders are Bret Taylor and Clay Bavor. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.

What You'll Do:
  • Build Sierra’s APAC Presence. Join as the first marketing hire in APAC, helping establish Sierra’s presence in the region with events as the primary growth lever. You’ll bring a strong events and field marketing lens, while operating with a generalist mindset, connecting programs to regional pipeline and growth. At Sierra, events are the foundation of how we build relationships, earn trust, and drive growth - especially in new markets.

  • Create a High-Impact Events Engine. Own the strategy and execution of Sierra's event portfolio across APAC. You’ll create memorable, high-touch moments that drive pipeline, deepen relationships, and establish Sierra as a category leader.

  • Localize Global Strategy for Regional Growth. Partner with global marketing to adapt and execute programs that resonate with APAC enterprise audiences. Work closely with Sales to identify key accounts, target segments, and opportunities to accelerate deal cycles.

  • Execute End-to-End with Excellence. Own the full lifecycle of event programs—from concept and planning through execution and post-event follow-up. Manage vendors, agencies, and internal stakeholders to deliver seamless, high-quality experiences that reflect Sierra’s brand.

  • Be the Regional Connector. Serve as the bridge between APAC and global teams (Marketing, Sales, Product), ensuring strong alignment while advocating for regional needs and opportunities.

What You'll Bring:
  • 8+ years of marketing experience, with deep expertise in events and field marketing. You’ve led high-impact B2B marketing programs in APAC, with a strong track record of using events to drive enterprise pipeline and revenue.

  • Experience as a regional or founding marketer (or operating with that level of ownership)
You’re comfortable building from zero—setting strategy, creating structure, and executing programs without heavy infrastructure.

  • Proven ability to execute exceptional events end-to-end From executive dinners to large-scale conferences, you know how to design and deliver experiences that stand out—and tie them directly to business outcomes.

  • Strong commercial mindset and sales partnership. You understand how marketing drives pipeline. You’ve worked closely with regional sales teams and know how to align programs to account priorities and revenue goals

  • Operational excellence and attention to detail. You can manage multiple programs across markets, timelines, and stakeholders without sacrificing quality.

  • Deep understanding of APAC markets. You bring regional expertise (with Singapore as a hub), including cultural nuance, vendor networks, and experience executing across key APAC countries.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You can influence across functions and geographies, clearly articulating plans, results, and insights to senior stakeholders.

  • Willingness to travel across APAC You’re energized by being on the ground—bringing programs to life and building relationships in-market.

Even better...
  • Experience marketing to enterprise buyers in AI, SaaS, or emerging technology categories.

  • Background in both owned events and third-party conference strategy.

  • Experience working in a high-growth startup or scaling environment.

  • Familiarity with account-based marketing (ABM) and executive engagement strategies.

  • Experience managing agencies and external partners across multiple APAC markets.

  • Experience in executive programs and field marketing.

Our values
  • Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.

  • Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.

  • Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.

  • Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.

  • Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.
