Role responsibilities

  • As a Front Line risk approver, to review and approve credit proposals for the Global Corporate Banking portfolio including specialised finance transactions for Real Estate Finance, Project Finance, Shipping & Aviation Finance, Leveraged Acquisition Finance etc across OCBC footprint markets

  • Work with Businesses to identify early warning signals and manage stressed accounts to minimize impairment provisions on the portfolio

  • Identify emerging risks in the portfolio, geography or industry sectors through portfolio management strategies and initiate mitigation strategies. Collaborate with key business partners to prepare insightful portfolio reports for senior management, highlighting areas of concerns and opportunities

  • Represent the Corporate Banking department on divisional and cross functional projects relating to credit risk, Basel, credit process improvements etc

  • Collaborate with Group Risk Management on credit policy, risk rating models and credit framework in support of specific requirements of Global Corporate Banking business

  • Banking and credit experience of at least 15 years

  • Strong skills in credit risk evaluation, structuring and risk management

  • Strong understanding of the global corporate banking business

  • Good knowledge of risk management principles and regulatory guidelines

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
