The Company

Multiplier Holdings is a global VC-backed technology company that acquires and compounds high-impact professional services firms into category winners through the power of AI.

Multiplier iteratively develops and deploys a library of AI and workflow components that can be configured to fit the needs of each partner firm to automate critical, time-consuming tasks and drive growth and productivity while improving the experience for clients and staff.

The Role

We are looking for a high-agency Manager of Portfolio M&A to scale Multiplier’s decentralized inorganic growth engine.

Multiplier operates a fast-growing network of leading boutique accounting and tax firms across the world. As our portfolio grows, we see a major opportunity to scale the impact of our network through different types of inorganic growth initiatives:

  • add-on acquisitions: help our firm leaders identify and execute add-on acquisitions of smaller practices, client books, and specialist capabilities

  • acquihires / team lift-outs: work out proposals for talented operators or small teams who can join one of our portfolio companies and bring clients, capabilities, and / or local market expertise

  • incubations: find exceptional operators and help them test and launch new firm concepts or service lines within Multiplier

We’re not looking for a traditional corp dev manager relying on brokers to offer up ready-made acquisition targets. Instead, you will design and operate a flywheel for decentralized inorganic growth working directly with our portfolio leaders to identify opportunities, build relationships with potential sellers and operators, and convert those relationships into real growth.

We believe this portfolio-led acquisition engine can become one of Multiplier’s most important long-term assets, taking learnings from great serial acquirers (Teledyne, Danaher, Constellation Software, …) and applying those to the global accounting and tax market.

You will also support broader corporate development efforts, including building financial models, preparing investment materials, and evaluating acquisition structures across markets.

We are looking for someone who is commercially sharp, highly organized, comfortable with financial statements and financial modeling, and able to build trust quickly with entrepreneurs and firm owners. The ideal candidate is also a top decile adopter of AI: someone who is eager to experiment with new tools, automate parts of their own workflow, and become the most AI-enabled version of themself.

This is a high-autonomy role for someone who wants to help build a new compounding engine from the ground up, while working with an experienced leadership team and a fast-growing global portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing

  • Develop relationships with existing portfolio leaders across different regions as the main point of contact for inorganic growth initiatives (add-on acquisitions, acquihires, etc.)

  • Incentivize and enable portfolio leaders to develop relationships with other operators and help transform those relationships into inorganic growth initiatives

  • Help develop the Multiplier brand as a partner of choice for top-tier service professionals

Structuring

  • Develop and refine standard playbooks for inorganic growth initiatives

  • Analyze financial statements and build financial models to assess investment attractiveness

  • Synthesize deal thesis for internal stakeholders

  • Walk prospective partners through the deal structure and support negotiations

Due diligence / closing

  • Coordinate legal and financial due diligence (triaging requests, interviews, …)

  • Share feedback / findings with Multiplier stakeholders

  • Coordinate signing and closing mechanics

Qualifications
  • 5+ years in finance, law, or management consulting with meaningful M&A experience: you've worked on live transactions and are comfortable owning financial models, diligence workstreams, and negotiations with counterparties

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Comfortable handling financial modeling and / or negotiating legal documents

  • Excellent communication skills

What We Offer
  • Play a central role in a fast-scaling acquisition engine - double-digit deals per year across the globe - at a leading technology firm

  • Competitive salary + performance-based bonus and equity

  • End-to-end M&A exposure including high-stakes negotiations and closing

  • Direct reporting line to Head of Corporate Development (Frederik Voet)

  • Fully remote or Hybrid
