The Finance Manager plays a key role in supporting the business through finance operations, financial and regulatory reporting, and strong stakeholder partnership. This role works closely with management and serves as a trusted point of contact for regulators, auditors, and bankers, contributing directly to business discipline and governance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Set up, document and maintain proper accounting system, process and reconciliation to administration system for computation, payment and accounting of agency compensation and benefits
  • Establish and maintain proper accounting and internal controls for all collections and payments to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance
  • Prepare financial statements and statutory reports to ensure accurate and timely submission to regulators such as MAS and ACRA
  • Ensure adherence to statutory, regulatory, and internal reporting requirement
  • Prepare and review monthly reconciliation of balance sheet schedules and ensure that outstanding items are investigated and resolved
  • Review payment, invoice, journals, and consolidated income statement for agents
  • Oversee and manage monthly commission and expenses closing
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staffs
  • Liaise with head and regional office on monthly inter-company billing
  • Work closely with others department on event costing
  • Oversee lease and office-management related expenses
  • Support and execute new initiatives and finance-related projects as directed by management

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of accounting and auditing experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial position, preferably relevant experience in an insurance intermediary
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and excellent analytical skills
  • Self-starter and team player with a high level of initiative, strong work ethic and the ability to gather, synthesize, organize and report information
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a demanding and deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
