Role Summary:

As a Business Development Manager, you will drive relationship-based consultative selling within the commercial sector, focusing on Banking, Logistics, Shipping, and Manufacturing in Singapore. Leveraging DXC’s expertise in AI, digital twin, and emerging technologies, you will act as a trusted advisor, engaging with senior technology and business leaders to identify value creation opportunities that address their strategic IT and business needs.

This role focuses on acquiring new logos and developing strategic accounts within the commercial sector. It requires a strong industry presence and active participation in relevant forums and professional networks. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep technology expertise, the ability to clearly articulate ROI-driven value propositions, and well‑established market relationships. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role works closely with the Commercial Sell Team, Solutioning Team, Business Services, Practice Leads, and the Innovation Lab to drive sustained growth.

Key Responsibilities

Build and sustain trust‑based client relationships

  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor whom clients engage for insight, perspective, and strategic guidance

  • Build strong, senior‑level relationships with business and technology leaders through a deep understanding of client priorities, challenges, and industry dynamics

  • Proactively share distinctive insights, perspectives, and relevant use cases to shape client thinking and deepen engagement

  • Conduct effective research and prepare tailored, value‑led points of view that resonate with client executives

  • Inspire clients to consider and award DXC new, meaningful transformation initiatives (typically >$5M)

  • Actively leverage internal DXC networks and alliance partners to bring the full breadth of DXC capabilities to the client

Drive client value creation

  • Partner closely with Account Executives and key client stakeholders to understand business objectives, IT roadmaps, and leadership agendas

  • Co‑create with clients to validate, refine, and shape ideas that support their transformation and value‑realisation journeys

  • Develop robust business cases that clearly articulate measurable business outcomes, ROI, and risk/value trade‑offs

  • Transition qualified and well‑shaped opportunities to Sales Professionals and Solution Architects, ensuring alignment between client needs and proposed DXC solutions

  • Remain engaged as a strategic advisor to support deal progression and value confirmation

Grow the account and portfolio

  • Drive sales pipeline development, revenue growth, and margin improvement across assigned accounts and prospects

  • Translate value‑creation ideas into qualified opportunities that expand DXC’s footprint within target accounts

  • Selectively own and lead critical early‑stage engagements such as strategic assessments, value targeting initiatives, and pilots

  • Actively contribute to account planning, pipeline reviews, and growth strategy discussions to ensure disciplined execution
