[What the role is]

SENIOR ASSISTANT PROJECT ENGINEER, TRACKWORK

[What you will be working on]

As an Assistant Project Engineer in Trackwork, you will be integral to the construction of Singapore railway tracks. Your responsibilities include ensuring the safety, quality, progress and environmental impact of the Contractors' works. Working alongside a collaborative team, you will support various trackwork projects, including new installations, upgrades, and maintenance activities. Your contributions will enhance the reliability and performance of the rail network.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of trackwork projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards.
- Support the design and analysis of track layouts, track geometry, and related infrastructure.
- Conduct daily site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Prepare daily reports, technical reports and documentation related to trackwork activities.
- Review technical submissions (technical specifications, drawings, method statements & risk assessments etc.)
- Coordinate with stakeholders on site and administrative matters.
- Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts related to track maintenance and performance issues.

[What we are looking for]

• Knowledge in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline 
• Knowledge of railway engineering principles and trackwork design will be an advantage 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• A team player who is analytical, resourceful, and results-oriented 
• Able to perform night/weekend work when required 
• Candidates without prior experience but with a strong interest in railway systems are encouraged to apply
• Those with strong relevant years of experience will be considered for senior positions
