EXECUTIVE ENGINEER, INTERFACES & SYSTEMS (RAIL DIGITALISATION)

[What you will be working on]

You will be part of the Rail Digitalisation Division, a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team dedicated to advancing the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Railway Common Data Platform (CDP). This role involves driving the integration of data analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities to enhance rail performance and improve operational and maintenance processes.

As an Executive Engineer, you will be deeply involved in the technical governance, architecture coordination and engineering delivery of digital initiatives across railway domains.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Operation Technology (OT) Architecture Development and Governance - Support OT architecture governance by reviewing new initiatives, assessing alignment and maintaining architecture principles, standards and decision records.

  • Enterprise Architecture (EA) Support - Prepare and coordinate materials for EA reviews and ensure alignment with architecture principles.

  • Railway Digitalisation Stakeholder and Use Case Management - Support stakeholder coordination, delivery and governance of railway digitalisation use cases.

  • Engineering Support for OT-IT Integration Projects - Provide engineering support for OT-IT integration project by reviewing system design, interfaces and implementation issues for the railway production cloud and related systems and interfaces.

  • Contract Management and Tender Support - Assist with tender activities by preparing technical specifications, supporting evaluation and award processes.

  • UI/UX Collaboration – May be exposed to UI/UX work for engineering use cases by supporting wireframing, user journey mapping, and early-stage design discussions.

[What we are looking for]

  • Knowledge in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related discipline

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in engineering, systems integration, architecture support, infrastructure, digital delivery or related technical roles.

  • Exposure to OT, industrial systems, transport systems, enterprise architecture or digital platform implementation would be an advantage.

  • Experience on producing technical specifications, vendor engagement, tender activities or project delivery would be helpful.​

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of OT architecture, system integration and infrastructure concepts.

  • Basic knowledge of cloud architecture principles, including cloud environments, security, networking, scalability, resilience, and system integration.

  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts, technical governance processes.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and structured thinking.

  • Familiarity with railway digitalisation, data platforms, interfaces and operational systems would be a plus.

  • Basic familiarity with wireframing, user journey mapping, simple prototyping and Figma or similar design tools would be an advantage.

  • Open to learning user-centred design methods and applying them in a practical, engineering context.

Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for a higher-level position.
