We are looking for a commercial Legal Counsel to support the contracts team and the wider business across APAC and global stakeholders. This is a hands-on, business-facing role for someone who combines strong legal judgment with a pragmatic, collaborative and solution-oriented approach.

What will you be doing?

    · Draft, review, analyse and negotiate commercial agreements, including merchant agreements, processor agreements, amendments, NDAs, novation agreements and guarantees.

    · Provide practical legal support on legal commercial contract matters for the business.

    · Partner with legal colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders on product, regulatory and compliance topics.

    · Create and improve templates, policies and procedures to support scale, consistency and efficiency across the legal function.

    · Identify automation opportunities to simplify workflows and strengthen the way legal support is delivered to the business.

What skills do you need?

    · 5+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally from a top law firm and/or in-house within financial services, fintech or M&A-heavy environments.

    · Strong background in commercial, contractual and corporate law.

    · Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

    · Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills.

    · Ability to identify legal and business risks, apply sound judgment and offer pragmatic solutions.

    · Comfort working with multiple stakeholders across regions, time zones and functions.

    · Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    · Experience in payments, fintech, financial services or online businesses.

    · Exposure to cross-border legal matters and international stakeholder management.

    · Experience improving legal templates, processes or legal operational efficiency.
