Job Purpose:
This position is a key contributor for warehousing and distribution activities for J&J Singapore across all MedTech franchises. This position is responsible for ensuring superior customer experience, adherence to compliance requirements and operational efficiency while managing the oversight of the 3PL activities and the distribution costs.
She/he will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Supply Chain strategy for Singapore geography to support the new growth models and new customer facing initiatives. This position will be key in driving in improvement initiatives and distribution efficiencies, to further deploy the Singapore distribution strategy focused on bringing value to the customers, healthcare professionals and patients. customer experience, in line with the J&J Supply Chain strategy. He/She will interface with Deliver organization in the SEA and APAC regions for operations and capabilities support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Warehouse & Distribution
• Oversee all the activities related to physical movement of product – freight, customs, warehousing, order processing and transportation.
• Accountable for value added services performed by the 3rd logistics provider like repackaging, promotional banding, relabelling, kitting etc.
• Act as SME for Singapore distribution in cross functional teams, local and regional.
• Responsible to prepare and monitor key performance measures like OTIF, OTS, Perfect Order, OS&D, Customer complaints, Distribution costs etc.
• Develop, implement and administer systems, procedures, and processes, and provide effective warehousing & distribution services to meet customer service levels.
• Lead and manage continuous improvement projects in light of the Singapore distribution strategy.
• Accountable for management of overall Distribution costs and CIP targets.
• Manage freight spend, audits freight bills for overcharge / discrepancies.
• Participate in development of GTM strategy and implement the GTM initiatives.
• Participate in tenders and negotiations with 3PL and distributor.
• Benchmark industry practices and implement improvements as appropriate.
Quality & Compliance Activities
• Ensure all distribution activities comply with FCPA, HCBI, SOX guidelines, J&J Quality standards and local regulations such as customs and other trade compliance related matters.
• Work with quality team to meet quality requirements in Inbound and Outbound process.
• Work on creation, change management and timely closure of all quality related actions e.g. SOP, WI, NCR, Change control.
Customer Service & Collaboration
• Lead the Order to Cash Team for Singapore to ensure superior customer experience by ensuring perfect order delivery – Correct order entry, On time delivery and place, damage free with proper documentation.
• Internal stakeholder management and resource management in providing timely responses to customer inquiries, logging and resolving customer issues (e.g. ensuring complaint logging, investigation and closure).
• Proactively find collaboration opportunities along with commercial teams and customers to drive continuous improvement and build capabilities for Order to Cash processes.
• Overall responsible for management of the offshore KL Hub order processing team.
• Linking with internal stakeholders (Commercial team, Marketing, Sales, Planning, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Regional COE, HCC, Procurement, etc) and manage external stakeholders (3PLs, Freight forwarders, Custom Brokers, etc..) across the organization.
• Initiate, analyze, and summarize and drive improvement action plans from annual customer survey results for management.
People Development
• Develop the overall team annual goals & objectives as well as individual direct report goals & objectives.
• Builds talent within the team to ensure growth and build talent pipeline for critical roles.
• Ensure that the team members receive appropriate training and development opportunities to advance their careers.
Authorities:
• Approval for all the warehouse/distribution spent in warehouse
• Approval for all the freight invoices
• PO processing process in Ariba
• Approver for invoices in Ariba for LDC
• Approver for SAP roles application for LDC
• Approver for CAPAs for LDC
Qualification:
• University/Bachelor’s Degree or Equipment or Master In Business Administration
• Minimum of 8 years of supply chain experience required, ideally in a distribution or customer service role. Experience in the healthcare sector is a plus.
Technical Skills:
• Strong Customer service, sense of urgency skills; proven track record of delivering against deadlines. Excellent collaborative skill.
• Ability to work locally, across businesses, sectors, and functions.
• Excellent understanding of the order processing & customer service processes, as well as end to end supply chain processes and Supply Chain KPIs
• Experienced with ERP/SAP and Customer collaboration system
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical ability

• External interactions may include customers, industry partners, third-party distribution centers and suppliers, transportation providers, and customer service center vendors
• Willingness to visit the different DC’s across Singapore on a regular basis and work on temporary basis out of the DC’s when needed.
Work Experience:
• 8+ years of supply chain experience or multiple functions exposure.
• Experience working in a highly matrixed, global organization is critical for success.
