We are looking for a competitive and experienced Key Account Manager to help us grow HEMPEL’s business activities for Marine Coatings in Singapore.

If you have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable reaching out to potential clients, showcasing our services and products, we would like you to join our team as Key Account Manager for Marine Coatings in Singapore.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of clients in the marine ecosystem. In this role, you will be directly responsible for sales and customer relations with your portfolio.

Within the close-knit group of the HEMPEL- APAC marine commercial team, we will support your growth and provide comprehensive training and development opportunities to help you develop your talents in a multicultural and international setting.

 

Key responsibilities

1. Maintain strong relationships with the clients.

2. Recognize key staff in customer companies to promote beneficial affiliations.

3. Comprehend the challenges faced by the clients to solve them in the best possible manner.

4. Cultivate the existing business relations

5. Recognize new business opportunities for the improvement of management and business.

6. Organize meetups with the customers to tell them about our product and services

7. Counsel clients about their preferences

8. Achieve and manage a Euro 7-12 million annual revenue portfolio

 

Key Tasks

1. Sell products and services by convincing the customer.

2. Engage new customers via cold calling, leads, events.

3. Coordinate with other team members as well as other departments..

4. Provide existing customers with exceptional support.

5. Take notes of customer demands, needs and preferences.

6. Ensure weekly activity reports are filled in CRM and submitted to Manager

7. Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets effectively.

8. Process orders and sales contracts.

9. Explain the complete details of the product to the customer.

 

Required education, experience and job-related skills

1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or relevant field. (Marine / Chemicals / Coating)

2. Minimum 7 years of working experience in direct sales preferably in Marine Sector

3. Proficient in MS Office.

4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

5. Good interpersonal skills.

6. Excellent time management skills.

7. Exceptional strategic prospecting skills.

8. Ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.

9. Exceptional customer service skills.

10. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.

11. Outstanding analytical and organizational skills.

12. Excellent problem solving and networking skills.

13. Strong work ethics.
