Key Responsibilities:
1. IT Systems & Infrastructure Management
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems across user devices and servers.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance to ensure system stability and security.
- Manage installation, upgrades and configuration of hardware and software.
- Manage IT policies and ensure policies and best practices followed to maintain system security and compliance.
- Assist the department head in ensuring IT assets and systems are secure, reliable, resilient and recoverable.
2. IT Device & Asset Management
- Manage company IT assets, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
- Ensure proper inventory tracking, procurement, and disposal of IT equipment.
- Enforce IT policies for device security hardening, such as encryption and access control.
3. IT Support & Incident Management
- Provide technical support to employees for IT-related issues, both in-person and remotely.
- Document and maintain a knowledge base for common troubleshooting steps and user guides.
- Work with helpdesk or ticketing systems to track and resolve IT incidents efficiently.
4. IT Vendor & Budget Management
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and networking solutions.
- Evaluate, procure, and manage SaaS applications, software licenses, and IT service contracts to ensure the IT spend is within budget.
- Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, upgrades, and support as needed.
5. Security, Risk & Compliance Support
- Work closely with the security team to ensure all IT assets comply with IT security policies and best practices.
- Perform user access management, user access review and vulnerability patching.
- Provision of support during audits and due diligence assessments for all IT-related matters.
- Support the Risk Management function in maintaining the register of critical systems, as identified through Business Impact Analysis, in collaboration with business functions.
- Own and maintain the risk and controls register for all IT-related implementations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or IT support roles.
- Strong understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with system updates, patch management, and troubleshooting IT issues.
- Familiarity with IT asset management and device setup.
- Experience with Active Directory andMicrosoft 365 Administration.
- Ability to manage IT vendors and service contracts.
- Good knowledge of basic networking (Wi-Fi, VPN, firewall configurations, etc.).
- Familiarity with IT security best practices and frameworks, including user access control review and compliance (e.g. SOC2 Type2, CIS, NIST).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle ad-hoc IT operational issues.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with engineering, DevOps, and security teams.
- Experience working with helpdesk or ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk) is a plus.
