Why Join

Join OCBC’s Group Tax Advisory team and gain exposure to how tax governance and transfer pricing support a complex multinational banking group. As a Governance, Planning & Incentives / Transfer Pricing Intern, you’ll work on group-wide initiatives that enhance tax transparency, compliance, and data-driven insights. This internship offers hands-on experience in transfer pricing documentation, Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR), and cross-border coordination, while providing a broad view of how different functions across the bank operate together.

How You Succeed

You’ll do well in this role if you’re curious about how tax, data, and governance intersect in a large organisation. You’re detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers and documentation, and willing to engage with multiple stakeholders. Your ability to analyse data, spot trends, and communicate findings clearly will help you contribute meaningfully to both recurring processes and improvement initiatives.

What You Do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Transfer Pricing Support: Assist in the preparation of the OCBC Group Local File and support the execution of Service Level Agreements
  • Intra‑Group Reporting: Support intra-group billing processes, review GL lines, and perform reconciliations for intra-group reporting
  • CbCR & Data Analysis: Liaise with subsidiaries and branches to collate Country-by-Country Reporting data, perform ratio and trend analysis, and check data accuracy
  • Data Visualisation & Insights: Assist in updating Power BI dashboards and preparing summaries to provide insights on Group CbCR figures
  • Process & Documentation: Support the updating of standard operating guides and process documentation

Who You Work With

The Governance, Planning & Incentives / Transfer Pricing team sits within Group Tax Advisory and partners closely with finance teams, business units, and regional subsidiaries. The team plays a key role in ensuring strong tax governance, compliance, and consistency across the Group. You’ll work in a collaborative environment that values accuracy, structured thinking, and continuous learning.

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree
  • Completed a taxation module (preferred)
  • Strong interest in tax governance, transfer pricing, or group reporting
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and organised
  • Comfortable working with data and multiple stakeholders
  • Exposure to Power BI, Power Query, or Excel VBA/macros is an added advantage

Learning Objectives

This internship will provide you with:

  • Understanding of tax laws and guidelines relevant to the financial services industry
  • Exposure to end-to-end business processes across different functions in the bank
  • Practical experience in transfer pricing documentation and governance processes
  • Hands-on involvement in Country-by-Country Reporting preparation and analysis
  • Opportunities to build data analysis, visualisation, and stakeholder coordination skills

What we offer:

Competitive base salary. A suite of holistic, flexible benefits to suit every lifestyle. Community initiatives. Industry-leading learning and professional development opportunities. Your wellbeing, growth and aspirations are every bit as cared for as the needs of our customers.
