Why Join

Be part of the team that shapes everyday banking experiences for millions of customers through card and consumer payment solutions. As a Product Intern (Credit & Debit Cards), you’ll gain hands‑on exposure to how retail banking products are developed, marketed, and supported within a large financial institution. This role offers meaningful learning opportunities in product operations, campaign execution, and system transformation, while allowing you to contribute to initiatives that enhance customer experience and product competitiveness.

How you succeed

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re curious about how consumer banking products are managed end‑to‑end and motivated to learn through hands‑on involvement. You’re organised, detail‑oriented, and comfortable coordinating across teams. You approach tasks with structure, communicate clearly, and are proactive in supporting timelines and deliverables. Being adaptable, collaborative, and open to feedback will help you succeed in a fast‑moving product environment.

What you do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Product & Programme Support: assist in planning and supporting debit card programmes and initiatives to meet business and customer engagement objectives
  • Campaign Coordination: support debit card marketing and customer engagement campaigns, including timelines tracking, materials coordination, and execution support
  • Customer Engagement Initiatives: assist with initiatives aimed at driving debit card activation and usage
  • Communications Support: draft and prepare internal and customer‑facing communications for product updates, promotions, and offerings
  • Operational & Administrative Support: provide day‑to‑day support to the debit card product team to ensure smooth execution of initiatives
  • Stakeholder Coordination: liaise with internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Operations, and Digital Channels to track progress and support rollouts
  • Tracking & Reporting: assist with basic tracking and reporting of campaign performance and usage outcomes

Who you work with

You’ll be part of the Card Payments & Personal Loans team within Global Consumer Financial Services, working closely with product managers and cross‑functional partners across marketing, operations, and digital teams. The team collaborates to deliver and manage card products that support customer needs while driving business growth and operational excellence.

Who you are

  • An Undergraduate or Postgraduate student interested in consumer banking, product management, or digital transformation
  • Organised, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with stakeholders across different functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn in a dynamic product environment

This internship will provide you with:

  • Understanding of how large‑scale system replatforming and product initiatives are coordinated in a bank
  • Hands‑on experience supporting product, campaign, and customer engagement initiatives
  • Development of project coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Insight into core operational workflows within a card and consumer banking product team
