Why Join

Be part of OCBC’s consumer lending business and gain hands‑on exposure to unsecured personal loan products. As an intern within Card Payments & Personal Loans, you’ll support initiatives across portfolio analysis, customer segmentation, and marketing strategy. This internship offers a strong foundation in how unsecured lending products are managed, analysed, and positioned—while giving you insight into how data and marketing decisions drive customer engagement and portfolio health.

How You Succeed

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re curious about consumer banking, comfortable working with data, and interested in understanding how financial products are analysed and marketed. You’re analytical, organised, and able to translate research and insights into clear recommendations. Your willingness to collaborate across teams and learn about portfolio performance and customer behaviour will help you contribute meaningfully.

What You Do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Market & Competitor Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to support product and marketing strategies
  • Customer Segmentation & Analysis: Support analysis of customer segments based on behaviour, credit profiles, and preferences to improve targeting and engagement
  • Portfolio Performance Support: Assist in analysing key portfolio indicators such as delinquency and performance trends to support portfolio health assessment
  • Marketing & Project Support: Collaborate with marketing and cross‑functional teams on campaigns and initiatives to increase product usage and customer engagement

Who You Work With

The Card Payments & Personal Loans team sits within Global Consumer Financial Services and manages a range of unsecured lending products. You’ll work with portfolio managers, marketing partners, and other stakeholders who support product performance, risk oversight, and customer growth. The team values analytical thinking, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree
  • Interested in consumer banking, unsecured lending, or portfolio analytics
  • Analytical and detail‑oriented, with an interest in customer and market insights
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable working with data and presentations
  • Proactive, organised, and willing to learn

Learning Objectives

This internship will provide you with:

  • Understanding of different unsecured personal loan products and target customer segments
  • Exposure to portfolio analysis techniques and key performance indicators
  • Insight into how marketing strategies and campaigns support personal loan growth
  • Hands‑on experience in market research, customer segmentation, and cross‑functional collaboration
  • Practical learning within a consumer banking and lending environment

What we offer:

Competitive base salary. A suite of holistic, flexible benefits to suit every lifestyle. Community initiatives. Industry-leading learning and professional development opportunities. Your wellbeing, growth and aspirations are every bit as cared for as the needs of our customers.
