Department: Process Integration Engineer
Project Title: Product quality to process structure identification using advanced data analytics
Project Description: Data analytics has been integrated into Micron’s manufacturing operations to enhance efficiency. Comprehensive quality metrics are monitored prior to product shipment. Early detection of inline structural measurements is essential to ensure alignment with structural targets and maintain product quality.
In this project, required to collect and preprocess large-scale inline metrology data and probe electrical test datasets for analysis. Build statistical models to map pillar structure characteristics to probe quality indicators.
The student will gain hands-on experience in industrial semiconductor manufacturing processes and structural analysis, developing the ability to understand and demonstrate how structural characteristics influence final product quality.
Scope: Explore advanced data analytics techniques for feature extraction, dimensionality reduction, and predictive modeling using large-scale inline and probe datasets. Develop correlation models between inline structure measurements and probe electrical performance metrics to identify key influencing factors.
Deliverable: Accurate modeling from structure to quality mapping, early quality impact detection
Impact of Project: Improved product quality control
Skillset Require: General problem solving, data analytics
Course of interests: Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics
Duration Period: min 5 months (Semester Internship from January 2025 to May 2025)
