ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an intern to join the downstream process development team to support protein purification and bioconjugation work. This role provides the opportunity for the intern to understand the workflows associated with the production of antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the purification of antibodies and antibody drug conjugates using AKTA systems, such as affinity chromatography, ion exchange chromatography
- Assist in filtration activities, such as depth filtration, viral filtration, ultrafiltration/diafiltration
- Assist in the conjugation of linker payloads to antibodies
- Support exploratory data analysis and data mining to derive actionable insights
- Support the implementation of data-driven models to identify trends, optimise processes, and enhance product quality
- Support other ad-hoc tasks, such as buffer preparation, sample labelling, running of SDS-PAGE gel
- Maintain timely and accurate data records
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Program in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related fiel
- Basic laboratory experience and knowledge in protein purification techniques. Training will be provided
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Able to adapt to fast-paced environment
- Able to commit for a 20 weeks internship period
