Lead and expand the institutional client base, build relationships in crypto trading, and manage client onboarding and support.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Institutional Sales Manager to lead and expand our institutional client base. The ideal candidate will have strong connections within the crypto trading ecosystem, a solid understanding of derivatives (options/perpetuals), and a proven ability to build trusted relationships with institutional clients including funds, trading firms, and family offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, with a focus on those actively trading options and perpetuals in the crypto space.
- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities within the institutional market.
- Act as a key representative of GRVT’s brand, clearly communicating our value proposition and products to institutional stakeholders.
- Provide comprehensive client support, ensuring smooth onboarding and ongoing relationship management.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to customize solutions tailored to institutional client needs.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory updates to inform strategic sales decisions.
- Represent GRVT at industry events, conferences, and forums to build brand awareness and strengthen our institutional footprint.
- Create, optimize, and implement effective sales processes to enhance client acquisition and retention.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in institutional sales, preferably in crypto trading, traditional finance, or fintech.
- Strong understanding of derivatives (options/perpetuals) and digital asset trading infrastructure.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining institutional client relationships (funds, market makers, family offices, trading firms).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to present complex products clearly.
- Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive, comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, marketing, and engineering teams.
- Strong network in the global crypto/DeFi trading ecosystem is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in crypto exchanges (CEX or DEX) or prime brokerage firms.
- Familiarity with blockchain ecosystems, DeFi protocols, and institutional onboarding processes (KYC/AML).
- Existing client book of institutional relationships.
- Multilingual skills (English + Mandarin or other major regional languages).
