Established in 2020, Riot Singapore is a game development studio focused on delivering great experiences to our players. We partner with our Los Angeles headquarters on game development for League of Legends, Valorant, Teamfight Tactics, and 2XKO. As an Insights Analyst III for Riot Singapore, you will primarily focus on Teamfight Tactics’ monetization space and development of revenue products (e.g. skins and other cosmetic content, battlepasses, loot). This role emphasizes using quantitative analysis and structured problem solving to investigate problems and opportunities, deepen our understanding of players and product, and ultimately improve product and player outcomes for our games. You will work closely with product managers, producers, and designers to help them make better product decisions. You will report directly to the Director of Insights for Riot Singapore. 

Responsibilities:

  • Guide product strategy through breaking down complex problems into frameworks and data insights, and partnering with product managers and designers to implement these 

  • Inform product prioritization and direction through investigating problems and sizing opportunities

  • Develop a strong picture of performance through developing KPIs, building dashboards and pipelines, analyzing performance drivers and player behaviors, and experiments 

  • Deepen the team’s foundational understanding of product and players through comprehensive analysis 

  • Present work to product leadership using clear presentations and data visualizations

  • Collaborate with Insights and product teams located in Riot’s Los Angeles headquarters 

  • Mentor junior analysts on analytics craft, and support the Director of Insights in upholding analytics standards and a culture of excellence within the team

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years professional experience in data analytics or data science; or 2+ years professional data analytics or data science experience, with a Ph.D. in a quantitative field or utilizing advanced statistical techniques

  • 2+ years professional experience using data to inform business, product, or other consumer-related decisions

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python

  • Proficiency in building ETLs, DAGs or other data pipelines, transforming raw data into structured datasets

Desired Qualifications:

  • Academic or professional data science experience

  • Advanced proficiency in Databricks

  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau

  • Experience working in gaming or on monetization / revenue strategy
