The Inside Sales role is focused on driving product/service sales by effectively managing partner relationships, generating quotes, closing deals, and consistently meeting established sales targets. This position requires a good understanding of IT products and solutions, collaborating with internal teams, managing orders and backlogs, and utilizing our CRM system to foster pipeline growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business while managing existing accounts to process quotes, negotiate pricing, and achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Answers phone calls from a queue and also makes phone calls to confirm or gather information related to the partner's request. 
  • Answers customers' general inquiry on products and services including pricing, availability, shipping estimates, etc. 
  • Builds complete solution using the wide range of products and services that Ingram Micro offers such as but not limited to hardware and software, warranties and services, cloud, professional and training services, etc. 
  • Prepares and sends simple quotes with no special instructions and at screen price only. 
  • Prepares and sends quotes that involves special pricing and price negotiation. This includes those with vendor-specific processes such as Cisco, Apple, CTO, configurations, etc. 
  • Explores opportunities to cross-sell and upsell through probing and matching the customer’s needs with Ingram Micro’s solutions. 
  • Negotiates price with the partner, knowing how to strike the balance between achieving business objectives and building and nurturing relationships with partners for long-term success.  
  • Understands assigned account, what it consists of and their interaction with Ingram Micro.
  • Facilitates account changes such as but not limited to contacts, addresses, payment methods, ownership, resale tax certificates, reactivations, etc. 
  • Builds solid, in-depth business relationship with customers that fosters trust and expands customer's commitment to purchase and utilize Ingram Micro's offerings. 
  • Account profiling – having a deeper understanding of the partner and their business to identify how Ingram Micro can support them grow their business. 
  • Account touch base – regularly connects with partners (preferably via a phone call) to maintain a healthy business relationship and discover new opportunities. 
  • Manages open orders and take necessary actions to update the status, as well as informing the customer.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Sales Acumen: Strong understanding of the sales cycle, effective negotiation techniques, and proven strategies for meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities that facilitate clear interactions with partners and internal teams.
  • Product Knowledge: Proficient understanding of IT products and solutions, including cloud, computing, storage, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to foster strong relationships with partners and collaborate effectively with diverse internal stakeholders.
  • Proactive & Resilient: Self-motivated and results-driven, capable of adapting to dynamic, fast-paced environments.
