Job Description

About the job

You will support HR activities to create a great work environment at the store. You will help implement people initiatives, provide co-worker support, and drive HR excellence and continuous process improvement.

 

Your assignment

  • Promote IKEA’s culture through upholding and modelling IKEA’s values in all HR activities, creating a positive and inclusive workplace.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts by supporting the hiring process and new hire onboarding, including issuing employee items and coordinating onboarding sessions.
  • Provide support to learning and development activities, including onboarding and training sessions.
  • Contribute to employee engagement activities, HR improvement projects and new initiatives.
  • Provide general administrative support, including preparing HR documentation, maintaining personnel files.
  • Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.

 

Your profile

  • You are studying or hold a qualification in Human Resources Management.
  • You have good interpersonal skills and confidently interact with people at all levels, including managing conflict.
  • You are proactive and take initiative in your tasks and responsibilities.
  • You are a committed team player and can also work independently.
  • You demonstrate high integrity and attention to detail in your work.
  • You can support HR operations during weekends and public holidays as needed.
  • You are able to assist with business operations during peak periods.
  • You are able to commit to the role for a duration of 6 months.
