Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who aspires to become a leader in Human Resources. In this role, you will work alongside the Head of HR in Singapore to provide the full spectrum of HR services to employees in Singapore. The role is envisioned for someone who has limited work experience in HR but is driven by a strong ambition to become a full-fledged HR professional and leader. To this end, your day-to-day work, fully guided by the Head of HR will encompass operational, strategic, and creative HR work. The role is highly progressive offering numerous opportunities to gradually build competencies in a multitude of HR disciplines. This will lead you to advance your HR career within Singapore and in the wider Sun Life network globally. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer compensation and benefit plans as guided by company policies and procedures.
  • Assist administratively with talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
  • Assist with the development and execution of Signature programmes/activities to achieve the following.
    • Seamless onboarding of new employees
    • Meaningful recognition of employees for demonstrating company values
    • Rewarding employees for being ambassadors of Sun Life.
    • Periodic fun and interactive activities that promotes social bonding and Teamwork.
  • Systematically maintain and improve the accurate keeping of all employee records using the company’s HR information system and other supporting tools.
  • Periodically provide HR related reports to Government authorities, regional office, auditors etc
  • Develop a comprehensive SG HR knowledge bank that is a repository for current practices.

Job Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in any discipline
  • Minimum 3-year work experience, preferably in HR
  • Effective Communication skills - writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Ability to clearly rationalize concepts/ideas for presentation and implementation.
  • Calm, pleasant disposition and takes a keen interest in helping others.
  • Willingness to learn all the time and accept feedback as ways to get better.
