About the role:

  • Promote best practices in managing employee relations
  • Implement and update employee relations policies and procedures, ensuring alignment and compliance with the organization’s core values, legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide advice and partnership as a point of contact in handling employee relations issues including handling employee grievances, complaints, and workplace misconduct.
  • Perform work pass application/renewal, confirmation assessment, re-employment/contract renewal, and timely updates of employees' records in HRIS
  • Handle operational matters for off-boarding
  • Acts as liaison between employees and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.
  • Provide HR advisory service to employees and stakeholders in all operational related matters and to ensure smooth resolution on HR queries
  • Handle and follow up on employee-employer related matters independently
  • Handle all government statutory surveys and corppass administrations
  • Recommend and implement improvements for HR & Admin processes and procedures to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Facilitate HR functions which include Staffing, Compensation and Benefits, Welfare, etc.
  • To take on HR improvement projects and other adhoc projects as assigned

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in handling full spectrum of HR & administrative roles, preferably in marine industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with Workday system is an advantage
  • Familiar with Singapore Labour Law & Employment Act
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with employees
  • Responsible to follow through work matters consistently
  • Self-starter, resourceful and possess a curious nature to dig further to learn new knowledge
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks with sense of urgency
  • Mature, presentable, stable, and professional with good judgment between employer and employee perspectives.
