Reporting directly to the Head of Product management, this role will be responsible to lead the delivery of protection and group product solutions to targeted customer segments through our distribution channels (Agency, Bancassurance/Partnership, Group, Digital, etc)

Job Description:

  • Lead and implement strategic product development initiative to drive the protection and group business
  • Lead discussion with stakeholders in achieving a balance for all stakeholders, eg. Compensation, pricing, product benefits, time to market, etc
  • Participate and lead discussion with distribution partners on product ideation and development
  • Drive, participate and implement initiatives to deliver thought leadership on protection and group products.
  • Work with marketing and distribution teams to provide education, support and communication tools to better target new customer and service existing customers.
  • Overall responsibility to achieve the P&L targets for the protection & group products in conjunction with key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for robust product research and driving innovations as part of product strategy in ensuring the Company is ready to capture emerging and future consumer demand
  • Actively monitor the competitive environment and provide the relevant analysis and/or recommendation to support the distribution. Also act as the Lead/Coordinator for product benchmarking report/analysis for the company
  • Act as the main lead/Program Manager for special product initiatives
  • Work with the department head in overall product strategy and planning

  • Good spoken, presentation skills and written communication as well as articulate interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrate leadership influence and maturity for effective collaboration across departments and divisions
  • Adaptable and can deal with change and ambiguity
  • Dynamic individual who strives in fast moving environment

Working Experience

  • Diploma / Degree with at least 12 years or more of experience with successful track records in the area of life product developments
  • Experience in managing and leading a team to handle complex situation with internal and external stakeholders, which may require strong agility and adaptability
  • Ability to work in a team effectively while managing tight timelines and working in a fast-paced environment
     

Education

  • Degree in Actuarial Studies / Marketing / Mathematics / Business Administration or related discipline
     

Language

  • English
