KONE's Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (APM) area is a growing and diverse region for the company. With close to 10,000 professionals across four country clusters in Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa, India, Southeast Asia, and Australia and New Zealand, we are a market leader in this area, operating in a mix of highly developed economies as well as emerging markets.

We have unrivalled experience working in the buildings that shape the region's skylines, including Australia’s tallest tower SkyPoint in Gold Coast, Mumbai’s JioCentre in India, featuring the world’s largest passenger elevator, Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands, Malaysia’s Merdeka 118, the world’s second tallest building, and Dubai’s Burj Binghatti, the world’s tallest-to-be residential building.

We are now looking for a Head of Communications, APM to lead our internal and external communications strategy across this vibrant Area. This is a senior leadership role for a strategic and hands-on communicator who thrives in dynamic and complex environments, and knows how to engage, inspire, and influence at every level. You will report directly to Senior Vice President, KONE Global Communications, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to Vice President, People and Communications, KONE APM.

What will you be doing?

· Lead the APM Communications Centre of Expertise and a team of four communications managers

· Own and drive the KONE APM Area communications, ensuring alignment with global KONE messaging and local market relevance

· Drive KONE APM strategy communications in collaboration with the Area strategy team and leaders

· Drive thought leadership across the region and identify opportunities to strengthen KONE’s voice in sustainability and innovations.

· Develop external communication strategies, including media relations, executive visibility, social media presence, and issues/crisis communications.

· Act as an advisor to the APM Area leaders, providing strategic guidance on communications, employee engagement, brand positioning, and reputation management.

· Act as a member of the KONE global Communications Leadership team, and the KONE APM People and Communications Leadership team

Are you the one?

• An experienced communications leader with 10+ years of experience in internal and external communications, preferably in a regional or global role.

• Experience in complex, multicultural environments with understanding of the nuances of communicating across the four APM frontlines, numerous languages, and cultures.

• A strategic thinker and strong executor, someone who is comfortable moving between high-level planning and on-the-ground delivery.

• Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders, and to translate business priorities into compelling communications.

• Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus.

Location:

· Kuala Lumpur or Singapore.

· Due to current immigration legislation applicant must be a Singaporean or Permanent Resident to be based in Singapore.
