We are looking for a Head of CGT (Cell & Gene Technologies) Operations.
The Head of CGT (Cell & Gene Technologies) Operations is responsible for directing the production of therapeutic cell therapy drug products under cGMP conditions overseeing a Site within a Site area; managing safety, quality, compliance and efficient, product delivery and financial execution. Leading a dedicated management team with full accountability for asset profitability and success.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the CGT manufacturing asset, ensuring delivery of safe, compliant and efficient production.
Oversee key performance areas: safety, quality, compliance, delivery and financial execution.
Accountable for asset profitability, success, and continuous performance improvement.
Directly lead the operations team, while also influencing across a matrix organization including: Program Management (PM); Quality Assurance/ Quality Control (QA/ QC); Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT); Supply Chain Management (SCM).
Serve as a core member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to overall site strategy and execution.
Partner with internal and external customers to ensure safe, compliant and reliable operations.
Drive continuous improvement, strategy development and execution across the asset.
Support organizational development and cultural leadership, fostering a high-performance environment.
Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance to establish, maintain and evolve quality systems that meet Lonza, cGMP and regulatory standards.
Attract, develop and retain skilled talent; promote a team-centric culture that drives business performance.
Inspire and motivate teams, fostering a climate of collaboration, coaching and accountability.
Set clear objectives, track performance, allocate resources effectively, and manage competing priorities.
Lead cross-functional alignment and decision-making to ensure the overall success of the asset, site and customers.
Single point of accountability with authority to execute activities and manage resources necessary for production plan achievement. Lead the department, managing safety, quality, compliance and efficient, product delivery, batch release, and financial execution. Empowered to reach across functional areas and across phases of execution.
Participate in site strategy decisions as a part of the site leadership team for Singapore. As a member of the site leadership team, lead cross-functionally with management, support departments, and customers to achieve site vision and strategy.
Ensure that the manufacturing facility is in a continuous state of readiness for production and GMP audits.
Supervise, train and mentor the manufacturing management team. Create a high-performance team that emphasizes strengths-based execution, accountability, open communication, people development and continuous improvement. Focus on people development, identification and development of successors and High Potentials.
As head of an Asset, must be able to lead through indirect reporting structure, or dotted-line, and influence to ensure the success of the business, and positive customer outcomes.
Uphold data integrity principle in accordance to Lonza policies. Proactively evaluate, identify, and improve data integrity process.
Key requirements:
Bachelor degree in Science, Engineering, Business.
Advanced professional experience in Operations, Manufacturing.
Demonstrates effective leadership.
Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity, translate long term objectives into short term tactical plans and balance risk for overall plant and business success.
Ability to work inter-departmentally and with customers.
High level of suite specific operations and technical skills.
Demonstrates role model EPS behaviors- eg 3 way communication, questioning attitude.
